Principal’s Message

Dear Springer Families,

Thank you for attending Back To School Night. How fortunate our children are to have such  wonderful parents that support an education that values the whole child. It is through your partnership that these opportunities are possible. Volunteering is one of the best ways to model the importance of community and education to our children. I encourage each of you to contribute your talents and time to ensure Springer is an exceptional place for kids. There are classroom and PTA needs that can be tailored to fit your family routine and lifestyle. Please make a difference through your time, care, and generosity. We are blessed at Springer to have you as a part of our school community.

Volunteers are ordinary people with extraordinary hearts.
They offer their gift of time
to teach, to listen, to help,
to inspire, to build, to grow, to learn.
They expect no pay
yet the VALUE of their work knows no limit…
They’ve known the unexpected joy
of a simple hug.
They have planted the tiny seeds
of care in countless lives.
VOLUNTEERS
are just ordinary people
who reach out and take a hand
and together they make a difference
that lasts a LIFETIME.

Warmly,
Robin

Hot Lunch for 2018-2019

Volunteers receive a credit for a free Choicelunch meal for every volunteer shift they fill.  Contact HotLunch@springerpta.net to join the lunch crew.   For more information on the hot lunch program, see the Hot Lunch page on Springer’s website.

LAEF

We’ve raised $500,000!

Thanks to the generous LASD families who have contributed to LAEF this school year and helped us reach this important milestone. We’re off to a great start!

Our goal is to raise $3.5 Millionto support STEM, Wellness, Literacy, and Arts this school year.

  • For each elementary school, LAEF funds teachers and staff for art, music, library, computer science, STEM, PE, and literacy aides for grades 1 & 2.

  • For each junior high school, LAEF funds teachers and staff for a wide variety of electives such as band, photography, robotics and world languages, along with librarians, mental health counselors, a math instructional support teacher, and a CSTEM program manager.

  • LAEF also co-sponsors the MVLA Parent Education Speaker Series, which had over 1,100 LASD attendees in the past school year.

Every student at your school benefits from donations to LAEF, and that’s why we strive for 100% parent participation. VisitLAEFonline.organdDonate or Pledge Today!
