Principal’s Message |
Dear Springer Families,
What a meaningful and caring day we had yesterday with our Springer Gives Back. It was touching to see the care and as the older children joined their younger buddies to decorate the food bags, create cards, and pack the lunches for people in our community. We also had a Coin Drive to help the Camp fire families who have lost everything. Thank you to the PTA for helping to make both of these giving opportunities possible. I would also like to thank the Girl Scouts for continuing the Giving Tree this year to provide a bright and warm holiday season to families and children in need. These projects are wonderful lessons and examples of how blessed we are and how we come together as a community to help others. Go Springer!
Have a wonderful weekend, Robin
What do Snowmen eat for breakfast? Snowflakes:)

Thank You Springer! |
Springer PTA
We kicked off giving last week with a coin drive for the Camp Fire in Butte County. You raised an amazing $1113.53. Funds will benefit the Camp Fire Evacuation Relief Fund established by the North Valley Community Foundation. Thank you to all for contributing!
For our Springer Gives Back program, students met with their buddy class to decorate bags, make holiday cards and filled over 240 lunch bags for Hope's Corner in downtown Mountain View. Hope’s Corner provides a warm meal and a bag lunch to hundreds of food-insecure people and showers for people who are homeless right here in our community. Check Friday Folders for more information about Hope’s Corner and how you can help.
Thank you, Springer for your generosity! Season's Greetings! Springer PTA |
A Note From The LASD Nurse |
Sometimes it is difficult, especially early in the morning, to know whether or not to send your child to school. The following guidelines are indications that you should keep him/her home. In this way, you are helping to control the spread of colds, flu, and other contagious illnesses.
Keep your child at home when he/she has any of the following symptoms:
You need to keep your child home until he/she has been symptom free without medication for 24 hours.
Also, NOTIFY THE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY if your child is exposed to or contracts chicken pox, mumps or measles or whooping cough (pertussis). These conditions can be life threatening to students who are undergoing therapies that suppress their immune systems.
The following information is only a guide to common childhood health concerns. Call our District Nurses or personal health care provider for more information. Always bring a copy of a physician’s note to school and/or notify the school if your child will have an extended absence due to a health condition for 10 days or longer. |
