News and Announcements |
LAEF: LASD is the #1 school district in California. That is due in part to your donation to LAEF. The $2.35 million LAEF has promised the school district this year allows the class sizes to be smaller and provides art, music, PE and library for our children. We do this as an investment for their future. Have you made your investment to your children’s education yet? Go online today at www.laefonline.org |
Project Cornerstone News: We're hoping to spread the influence of the Project Cornerstone lessons outside the classroom and to let the kids know that they're not only working on being good citizens at Springer but within the broader community. To that end, we will be inviting guest presenters from around the community to introduce the Project Cornerstone topic each month. We're starting this series off with Los Altos Mayor Ron Packard who will be joining us for flag assembly on Tuesday, November 8. We're really looking forward to having Mayor Packard visit our campus! |
Walkathon We’re down to the last steps of the Oceans in Motion Walkathon!
Have you collected your sponsor money yet? Walkathon donations are due by Tuesday, Nov 8th! Please turn in the green sponsor cards with checks stapled to them to the Walkathon cubby in the office. We will still gladly accept money after November 8th, but it won’t be counted towards the individual and class fundraising totals. Remember, the class with the highest percentage of participation will have a root beer float party, and the students earning the most money will have a special outing with Mr. Spenader! Even if you weren’t able to walk in the Walkathon, donations of $10 will qualify you as a ‘participant’ for your class and $25 will earn you a green Walkathon t-shirt!
Did you forget to pick up your water bottle or medal at the Walkathon? Volunteers will be out before school on Friday to hand these out to students who have not yet received them. We can also give out the cool “2011” ribbons to those who received medals with green ribbons. Water bottles and extra t-shirts will be available for purchase after November 8th. Please email Karey Gutierrez kareytg[at]gmail.com or Katie Cowley ktcowley[at]yahoo.com if you have questions. |
Family Dinners Out Raise money for Springer simply by enjoying dinner out with your family and friends! Springer receives 15-30% back from the restaurants when you dine at their establishments on Springer's selected dates. Takeout orders apply as well! Listed below are the participating restaurants for the remainder of November: Pizza My Heart Wednesday, November 16 Chevy’s Thursday, November 17 Mountain Mike's Pizza Every Thursday and Sunday
