LAEF:  A very Happy New Year to our LASD families!  Thanks to your generous support, we are proud to announce that we have reached the $2 million mark towards our $2.35 million target.  Every dollar counts and we are grateful for your support of our children.  If you have not donated yet, we are counting on you to reach our target as we still have $350k to go. Are you IN?  Go online today a www.laefonline.net

A special thanks to Tiny Prints and Whole Foods.  We had a very successful community fundraising effort and we could not have done it without you.

It's 3:00pm.  Do you know where your child is?  Just a friendly reminder that, unless a student is accompanied by a parent or supervising adult, all students need to leave campus at 3:00pm.  A new 3:00pm bell is rung each day that alerts the campus when it is time to go home.

WANTED: Science Faire Judges:  On March 13th, Springer will host its annual Science-o-Rama.  This event allows our budding scientists to display their experiments that either prove or disprove their hypothesis.  We are in need of judges who can commit an afternoon at Springer to judge the 5th and 6th grade entries.  A science background is nice, but certainly not necessary in order to judge.  Training is provided and your input makes a huge difference to the kids.  If interested, please contact Wade Spenader.

Springer's 2012 Auction's Sunset on the Serengeti: March 24, 2012

Ready, set, go!! We are off and running with our prep for the 2012 Springer Auction!

Our dream is to achieve 100% parent participation in the auction. Donations from families are warmly welcomed and needed to make the event a success. The auction raises much-needed funds for the PTA, builds our community, and generates extraordinary enrichment opportunities for our children. So, be sure to connect with your friends about hosting an auction party or creating a memorable event for the children! Or do you have any unique gifts that you'd like to donate to the cause? Now's the time to pull it together and submit a Community Donation Form

An auction invitation with more details have been included in this week's Friday folders so check it out and let us know if you have any questions. We will also have an "auction info" table set up in the assembly area next Wednesday, January 18 from 8am-830am so please stop by and visit! Last, but definitely not least, the auction team will be visiting the kinder area during drop-off and pick-up times next Thursday, January  19. We are ready to answer any questions you may have!
