Principal’s Message

Dear Springer Community,

• Next week is our Spring Book Fair. The theme is Paw for Books the week of March 5th through the 9th.  Mark your calendars for Family Reading Night March 7th from 5-7:30pm.  There will be a special guest appearances.  
   
• The Silent Safety Drill went well today.  Each year we will continue include this drill along with our earthquake and monthly fire drills.

Donate books to kids in need

As in previous years, we will be collecting money to purchase books. You may also purchase new books to donate. The books will be distributed throughout our community.

Please discuss your family’s purchasing guidelines before the event to help children make good choices.

As this is a fundraiser, all sales are final.

Furry Friends Family Night

Please join us for Book Fair Family Night on Wednesday, March 7th from 5:00 - 7:30pm as Mrs. Jill Williams and Mrs. Carol Rossi brings us Furry Friends. Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services is the South Bay's oldest all-volunteer organization devoted to bringing the healing power of animals to those in our community. The Furry Friends mission is to consistently facilitate delivery of the love and affection of volunteers and their pets.  Monthly visits are provided at over 60 facilities through Santa Clara, San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties. Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services is a non-profit organization that has over 300 active volunteers, sharing the love of their animals with people in our community. http://www.furryfriends.org/index.html  Our teachers will be reading from 6:00 to 7:00pm. We will have many sweet Furry Friends around while the teachers read. The dogs coming with Furry Friends are trained and certified by the organization. We ask that you keep your own sweet dogs at home. Thanks!
